Hilma Top
Designed by kolibri by johanna
The top is worked in stockinette stitch top down in one piece. First of all, the back part is worked back and forth in rows and with an eye-catching pattern of statement stripes in two different contrast colours. There are worked a bunch of increases to shape the armholes. Afterwards, the back part is finished without any increases. Then, stitches are picked up along the back part and the front panels are worked separately. Additionally, to the increases for the armhole shaping, you will work increases to shape the round neck. Afterwards, the front panels are worked in stockinette stitch and with the same eye-catching pattern of statement stripes (but placed a little bit offset in comparison to the back part) like the back part has been worked before. Finally, all parts are joined to the round and a double folded knit hem is worked in a different contrast colour. To finish off the top, the same double folded edgings are worked along the armholes and the round neck is finished off with a double folded knit collar as well. The eye-catching pattern of statement stripes, which are placed offset from each other, creates an interesting and joyful look making the summer top the perfect companion for every (summer) day!
