The new Summer Design by Paula_m

The JULES Sweater is a classic raglan sweater in a striped pattern. An allrounder, which is easy to combine and can be worn with shorts in summer, but also fits perfectly under a trench coat. In addition to the classic version of the sweater with 'normal' body and sleeve length, there is a short (cropped) version with three-quarter sleeves that can be perfectly combined with high-waisted pants and skirts.

The sweater is worked seamlessly in the round, top-down. First the neckline border is worked in a rib pattern, then the raised back neck is formed using short rows (worked back and forth). When neckline shaping is finished, the sweater is worked in the round again and increases for raglan shaping are worked. After finishing raglan shaping, the work is divided and the body and sleeves are finished separately. Because the sweater is worked top-down, it’s possible (and recommended) to try it on as you knit, so that the length of body and sleeves can be adjusted to your personal preferences.

Techniques used: Italian cast on method, short rows with wrapped stitches, left and right leaning increases and decreases, tubular bind off at borders.
